Working of coal feeder:

An Electromagnetic Vibrating Feeder is a very useful device to handle feeding operations irrespective of the physical state like hot cold damp, granular dusty etc. The electromagnetic feeder also helps in taking the feeds to the next level as to scalping, blending, packing, washing crushing cooling etc. The efficiency of electromagnetic vibrating feeder is such that it suites many operation.

The electromechanical feeders or Electromechanical Vibrating Feeders from Star Trace are powered by heavy duty vibro motors and are high frequency reciprocating machines conveying bulk material from one place to another. The Electromechanical Vibrating Feeder may be operated between processes or from storage units to processing area. Electromechanical Feeder handles feeds in different physical states like crystalline, granular, hot, cold, moist etc. The rate of feed from the Electromechanical Feeder can also be controlled which may differ from one product to the other. The frequency of feeding can also be increased to achieve greater production rate.

Construction of Electromechanical Vibrating Feeder:
  • The Electromechanical Vibrating Feeder is available as a set up that is base mounted or as hanging model. The drive system can be either single motor drive or dual drive or at times they can be multiple drives for the vibratory conveying. The tray unit is mounted over the drive of the Electromechanical Feeder, in other words the drive is positioned below the tray.

Vibratory motors of Electromechanical Vibrating Feeder:
  • Vibratory motors are used to to bring about vibrations in the Electromechanical Vibrating Feeder. The vibratory motor is a totally enclosed structure with eccentric weights at both the ends. The weights mounted at both the ends are calculated so as to handle bulk material with efficacy. The motors are identical in working efficacy and the placement of weight is appropriately done to match the heavy duty handling capacity of the Electromechanical Vibrating Feeder. The freely rotating weights produce linear vibratory motion and dispatch heavy duty loads with ease.

  • The required amount of scrap metal is loaded into the storage hopper at the loading point. The trolley then carries the vibrating feeder along with the storage hopper to the vibratory furnace charger point. Here, the vibrating feeder is energized and the material is effectively discharged into the vibratory furnace as per the required capacity. As the metal is melted down, fresh batch of metal can be fed into the vibratory furnace charger thereby keeping the vibratory furnace charger full. The capacity of the vibrating feeder can be varied by varying the amplitude of variations. The amplitude of vibrations can be varied by adjusting the position of centrifugal weights or by using a variable frequency drive (optional). A control panel specially designed to suit individual client requirement depending on the sequence of operations required is provided.
